Default Tour Easy Chopper fork/26" front wheel/with Disc brake! A smooth fast ride!

Hi everyone, another first, possibly?
I've always liked tinkering/modifiying my recumbents - previous (Rans
Tailwind 20/26 wheels in 1999, and now my Toureasy 26/700c Wheels
2007: present!
Here is my latest, and successful alteration which I have found to be
positive in looks, functionality and performance!
Forks used:-
3G forks : primetime fork, 1" head tube, threadless headset, with
disc brake tabs. 26" front disc brake wheel.
Rear wheel 700c.

So far have rode over 40 miles on it, no problems with handling,
steering etc, still a fast ride... but smoother! and looks more like
a Chopper Bike! Gets lots of looks and comments! Perhaps Easy racers
can adopt this design, to compete with the Stratus XP?

Hope this Link works..

Nice work! I bet adding that big front fork put a bit more weight on
the front end and evened out the weight distribution.

Hi,
These Forks can be cut to the required lenth (depending on what size
wheel you wish to use) so some of the weight is discarded, I used a
heavy duty pipe cutter (the type they use for copper or steel pipes),
and put the trim caps back on the ends.
I have'nt weighed these forks, but I would say that the're a little
bit heavier than a standard steel or alloy fork, but to me the slight
weight penalty doe'snt outweigh the transformation and ride of the
bike.
I went out on a 40 mile ride last sunday with some wedgie bike friends
and they all commented how most of the time I was'nt pedaling as much
as them, there seems to be better rolling inertia with these big
wheels. No loss in performance (for me), if anything the bike rolls
better.

Here's a link to the actual forks (they would include disc brake
tabs):

Best Wishes, Andrew.
