Discovery Channel excluded from ProTour team group (Professional
Cycling Teams (IPCT) group)

I am a little confused here, what authority does the IPCT have....??
IPCT is kicking Discovery out, because Basso is involved Operation
Puerto. Personally I think the whole Operation Puerto investigation is
just another example of guilt by inuendo.

The IPCT is the TRADES UNION for teams which are
allowed travel with Paddy McBoggy's UCI sponsored Pro-Tour Circus

The maximum number of members is Twenty since there are only
twenty places for teams on the Pro Tour

That is it in a nutshell, and IPCT is a business oriented Trades Union
under the Chairmanship of Patrick Lefévère, a Belgian national who is
manager of the Quick-Step professional Cycling team.

They represent a Special Interest droup.

If you are confused, leave it at what Davey outlined above and you
will not go too far wrong.

However, if you want to dig yourself into a Cesspool almost of
European Common Market Magnitude, there are probably only 16 members
of IPCT since Française des Jeux is not a member and now neither is
Discovery Channel - Pause here - That would make 20 minus two
members, or 18 current members. But there are two vacant places on
the UCI Pro Tour roster, so deduct two more from the 18 and you have
the 16 figure above.

That is probably correct at the present time, but the situation is
fluid.

The idea is too keep people in the Dark as much as possible. Mystic,
almost like a religion which feeds, as religions do, on ignorance,
fear and superstition, with Paddy McBoggy as Pope

The vacant places will be filled soon. Some cynics believe that
several teams are worthy of inclusion in the Pro Tour and that those
selected will be the ones who contribute the most, in cash, mind
you, no cheques/checks/Czechs allowed, to Paddy McBoggy's retirement
fund, with a little extra for current out of pocket expenditures on
things like booze and whores.

So Davey, is it a _good_ thing that an industry association has blackballed a
worker in that trade on the basis of an accusation by some cop?

Davey was trying to state facts to help someone sort out the mess

He wasn't offering an opinion one way or the other, Ron

But if you want Davey's opinon, he thinks that the whole gamut of
alphabet soup organizations should be disbanded as political and
detrimental to the sport of cycling

Politicians can make a mess of truly Gargantuan proportions out of the
simplest situation
