Yeah, from what I can see it doesn't look too bad. At least the lanes draw attention to the fact that a cyclist might be there, and the crossing the path of left-turning traffic is something you'd need to do anyway if the lanes weren't there. |

The difference being the after the qs= immediately after the Multimap.com is that it now says Cambridge instead of Caridge. |

I didn't like it as a motorist and I would not be happy on it as a cyclist. What's the experience of urc Cambridge cyclists on this one? Coming from the east (i.e travelling left to right) it looks to me as if there is (starting from the kerb) a cycle lane, a turn left lane for cars, another cycle lane and a straight on/turn right lane for cars at the entrance to the roundabout. Further back there is a bike lane and a single car lane. At the point where the road begins to widen both the car and bike lanes bifurcate meaning that cars turning left have to cross the line of bikes wanting to continue straight on. It feels to me like the issue could be determined by weight of traffic and cyclist confidence. |

Yes - here it is in Google: http://preview.tinyurl.com/485qgm I use that route most days, and haven't had a problem so far. I remember it used to be worse, but can't remember how it changed. |
