Often printed in the Chicago paper over the years

its' springtime in Chicago
when you cry into your beer
how many years before I learn
there is no springtime here?

We had snow showers here today in the Windy City.

Looks like about 6" of white stuff outside my window. Yeah, I'm tired
of this.

No snow here, just freezing rain.

same here, but it's supposed to turn to snow overnight and get actual
accumulation (up to 6"?) by morning. I don't want to DRIVE in this stuff
given the intelligence of your average NoVA road user :/

Get a Ford C-Series [1] and put tire chains on.

I was thinking International Harvester Travelall myself, with a front
bumper salvaged from a tow truck.

I should probably never be allowed to drive such a vehicle, however,
as just this morning I was greeted by the sight of a driver (term used
loosely) traveling in the RH lane of the Dulles Greenway at appx. 20
MPH while everyone else was going about 60-70ish. Would be far too
tempting to put it to use as an instrument of Darwin.

I probably won't be driving my '65 Nova this week but if I
did I'd be up for street racing. You on?

Don't hit any protesters! Say, is Wisconsin going to fall like Egypt?
And you have a storm on the way, or so says our local paper. -- Jay

At 26°4′24″N is there ever a winter?

At 52N spring arrives when I can ride to the pub in the evening without
lights on my bike. Summer has arrived when I can get home without them.

Still winter here, and lamp batteries on charge :-(

Chicago Trib says that's coming Thursday. At which point the
1896 snowfall record gets eclipsed (very close now).

Hit protesters? It's not like we have a shortage, day after
day. Don't these people ever work? In Egypt or Gaza there's
a low opportunity cost so what the hell, why not?. Filling a
street's easy with not much else to do all day. But a solid
week of this here? As if they will change anything now. As
another guy said, "Elections matter. We won."

I wish. I sold everything 'cept my Ford pickemup truck and the '55
Stude, which isn't really raceworthy yet. I've been told that racing
the company car is Frowned Upon.
