Default quad qhd-1 hydraulic brakes

These seem like quite common brakes, fitted as standard to many new
Mountain bikes. Why then does no where sell the pads for them ? Is it
time to ditch them for some other calipers and if so which ?

The pads look to be one of the more common standard pads, so you
shouldn't have a problem finding something. Otherwise,
http://www.quadbrakes.com/am_pro/disc_pads1.html at least tells you
what you need to ask for at your LBS! It looks like you can use a
Shimano Deore mechanical pad in there -

posibbly?

sorted ! I found these pads you mention on chainreaction cycles and
someone had submitted a review saying that they work on Quad QHD-1

Here's the link in case any one else wants this :

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...px?ModelID=710

Shimano MO8 Pads compatible with:

* Deore BR-M525
* BR-M495
* BR-M475
* BR-M465
* BR-C501
* Tektro Auriga Comp

I called 2 shops near me, but neither had them but both said they
could get them though
