Default Petition to the German parlament

Hi all,

the "Initiative Cycleride"[1], an association of German cyclists that
wants to further a practical bicycle policy, has initiated a public
petition[2] to the German federal parlament, the Bundestag, by which it
demands to abolish the obligation to use separate cycling facilities.

If you support this goal, please sign! The German constitution gives
"everyone", including foreigners residing abroad, the right to petition
the parlament.

Signing the petition is easy: Just visit [3] and enter your personal
information in the form. The following privacy applies: "Pricacy advice:
I agree that the Bundestag Petition committee stores my above data
electronically. The data is only used for the petition proceedings. In
the list of signatures, only the information given in the fields name,
given name, title, state/country and date of the signature is
published." Please note: This is no phishing make, even though the URL
might seem a bit strange. The public petition system is currently in a
evaluation phase and is operated by the International Teledemocracy
Center of Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

I am currently preparing an English translation of the petition[4]. It
should be finished soon.

Please ask if you have any questions.

Greetings,

Jens
