Details
The Professional FSA Powermeter (8 strain gauges) has an accuracy of
±2%.

The FSA PowerMeter takes a 130mmBCD large chain ring and a 110mmBCD
small chain ring.
It can be set up with standard or compact chain rings which can be
changed later.

This Powermeter with 39/53 chainrings and a 175mm crank weighs 786g
including axle.

The SRM training system measures true power output in watts on your own
bike during your training sessions and/or competitions under real
conditions. The SRM Powermeter is mounted instead of the normal
crank/chainring combination. The SRM Powercontrol is used instead of a
pulse meter and a bike speed indicator. It records far more data than
any other bicycle computer, stores it for later analysis and, of
course, displays it. The SRM Training System is an ideal basis for a
continuous improvement of one's physical constitution.

The Powermeter consists of the crank, chainrings and measuring unit.
The measuring unit is located between the crank arm and the chainrings
and is made of a high-strength, specially tempered aluminum alloy: a
computer-designed torque transducer industrially manufactured to highly
accurate standards of quality. Strain gauge strips are attached to the
inside of the Powermeter. These deflect when force is applied to the
pedals. The material deflection registers the force thus created
(torque) as well as the cadence (angular velocity). These parameters
are converted into a digital electrical signal that is transmitted
telemetrically (inductively) to a sensor on the frame of the bike. The
power measurement is reactionless so no energy is lost. The Powermeter
is temperature compensated, 100% linear and waterproof.

It has an integrated battery for taking the measurement. This has an
expected product life sufficient for 30,000 km or 200hours of training,
after which it can be replaced.

The SRM Powercontrol V is the SRM Training System's bicycle computer.
In addition to power and cadence it also measures speed, heart rate
(suitable for non coded transmitters, from 2006 on for coded
transmitters also), temperature and others properties. All data
measurements are displayed after each crank revolution and saved in
intervals that you can set yourself. You can choose intervals of
between 1/20 and 60 seconds. The memory capacity is sufficient for 72
hours of training with saving set at 10-second intervals.

Different kinds of information can be shown on the generously-sized
Powercontrol display. A simple menu selection that can be used while
riding makes it easy to navigate between the various options. The SRM
Powercontrol is powered by a rechargeable NIMh battery which allows 40
hours of uninterrupted training.
