What to do with my vintage Steve Potts (WTB) bike!

I have an original hand made Steve Potts with the cam brake setup and
rigid fork. The bike prolly has less than 500 miles on it, but I want a
front shock setup. Has anyone had experience doing this and/or what
would you recommend?
It may not be worth saving.....maybe I should make a lamp out of it or
something ;~)

I'm afraid you've stumped me on the cam brake, though from what I've read
they won't work with cantilever studs. This would be a big problem with a
new fork. You may also have a 1" head tube, which can be hard to find. I'm
not sure if your brakes require a hanger like a center-pull cantilever -
new forks don't have those either.

I swapped out the fork on my 'new' bike a 1999. :-) It was a real pain and
kind of expensive, because it meant changing the brake, which meant
changing the lever, which meant changing the shifter. It got expensive!
