Default Shimano 9/10 spd compatibility

Need confirmation/reassurance please.

If I understand Sheldon Brown's (R.I.P.) chart, any Shimano 10 speed
brifters are compatible with any Shimano 9 Spd cassette/chain/rd/fd.

Correct or not?

Thanks!

Correct, any 10 speed STI levers can be used with a 9 speed rear
derailer/cassette via the alternate cable routing.
