Default SideLights update:

Yeah, i know this is a cross post, but judging from the extensive
lengths of the other cross posts in r.b.tech & misc, you guys don't seem
to mind much ;-3)

WAAAAY back in February I posted a query on finding a substitute for the
stick-on rim reflectors known as SideLights. Maybe it's because the days
are getting shorter, but I have recently been getting E-mails on this
subject, some asking if I ever found anything, others suggesting
possible substitutes...

Well, i have found just the thing. At Wal-Mart, no less! Though I am
sure they are available elsewhere. The reflective strips commonly seen
on semi-trucks/trailers. They are flat, thin strips of reflective
material, about 18" long and 1 1/2 inches wide. One end is red, the
other white and they can easily be cut to make as many spot reflectors
in whatever size you need to fit on your rim between the spokes.

As I said, I picked up my set at Wal-Mart, but they should be available
anywhere where trailer supplies are available (or at least they will
know where you can get the.

Happy trails
