'This' (http://www.sgi.org/english/Buddhism/nmrk.htm) provides some
explanation. More to the point, during the 1970s in the US, there was a
cultish form of this chant used by those who preyed upon the easily
swayed and vulnerable. By using this chant, and becoming a part of the
cult and parting with your money, you supposed to achieve any *material*
or spiritual goal you wanted. Testimonials of people on the verge of
bankruptcy who, after invoking the chant, became wealthy, abounded.
Similarly for those in need of a car, the lovelorn, etc.

If you watch the excellent, but extremely somber film, 'The Last Detail'
(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070290/), there is a scene where Larry
Meadows (played by Randy Quaid), a Navy grunt being escorted to 10 years
of hard labor for stealing $40, falls in with some members of this
cult.

I'm sure some of my fellow American demographic cohorts remember this.

Cheers,

Looks and sounds like it would be a fun little toy. All the fun of a
unicycle without any quad-burn. Imagine the parade possibilities?

Of course, one of the major reasons I ride a unicycle is for a good
quality workout, a workout that just happens to have a whole basket
full of fun thrown in.

I do like the Eunicycle. --chirokid--

PS: The inventor complained about the horrible aspects of the
unicycle seat, then in his Materials list, he says: "A unicycle
seat. $24." Maybe if he'd upgrade to a $48 unicycle seat he have a
better feeling underside. Also, the fact that he is not pedaling
causes more pressure to be "down there."

Foot pegs should relieve at least as much pressure as pedals do.
