Officers Unable to Determine Chicken's Intent - 08/12/14
On Monday August 11, 2014, at 5:45 p.m., North Precinct
officers responded to the report of a chicken crossing
Highway 30 in Linnton, North of the St. John's Bridge.

The caller reported to the non-emergency line that the
chicken was creating a traffic hazard along the highway.

Audio of the 9-1-1 call is available by visiting:

Responding officers were unable to locate the chicken and
fortunately there were no traffic crashes related to this
unusual report.

Linnton is tank farms and train tracks -- the chicken was probably making a run for Sauvie Island to meet up with her chicken posse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauvie_Island

I've sprinted for that sign about a zillion times. http://tinyurl.com/mh5q4jd Never saw a chicken.
