Default Opinions on frame saver

Frame saver is good stuff if you have a steel bike. Best suggestion is to
start with a bare frame -- though that may be obvious. Be somewhere with
good ventilation, cause the stuff is pretty noxious.

I start with the frame right side up (bottom bracket down) and stuff some
rags or paper towels into the bottom bracket and into the head tube. Then
spray into the seat tube pretty liberally, and into the top tube through the
seat collar area. Stuff some rags into the seat collar opening, and start
rotating the frame around to spread the stuff all through the tubes. The
rags will soak up a bunch of extra fluid.

Then turn the frame over so the bottom bracket is up. Keep rags in the seat
collar opening and in the head tube (or replace them if they're really
soaked). Spray into the downtube and chainstays through the bottom bracket
opening. Stuff rags back into the bottom bracket and start rotating the
frame around again.

Then use the little straw to get into the seatstays and fork tubes through
the little vent holes.

No matter how careful you are, you will have some of the stuff oozing out
the vent holes, or whatever, and it will get on the paint. Don't worry
about it. It cleans up off the paint pretty easily with WD-40.

Is this worth using on steel frames? And so you have any hints or
suggestions when using?
Thanks

best is USED automobile oil spread thruought tubes with a turkey baster. Think
about what rain does when it hits your driveway's many mini oil spots...
