Not my words. You did read to the end for comprehension, didn't you?

Here's the end

Today is a sad day for the world, but it's even sadder for the millions of
intelligent Americans embarrassed by a gung-ho leader and backed by a banal
electorate, half of whom still believe Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11.

Yanks had the chance to show the world a better way this week, instead they
made a thuggish cowboy ride off into the sunset bathed in glory.

And in doing so it brought Armageddon that little bit closer and re-christened
their beloved nation The Home Of The Knave and the Land Of The Freak.

God Help America.

Not Brian's words but what he sent here. If he thought it was wrong he wouldn't
have posted it.
Let's all pray for the Nobel Peace Prize winner Arafat. Let's all cower in
fear from the future, let's all bury our heads in the sand.
Brian I could not live the way you do. My faith tells me it's wrong to live in
fear and so does my reasoning. I refuse to cower in a corner. I refuse to think
that the future will not be better. I refuse to think that people who disgree
with me are stupid, or evil. I honestly try to see their point of view.
I do think that there comes a time to stand and fight for freedom and a chance
for a better life. I think it's criminal to cling to your single life if your
sacrifice could save many others lives and hopes. I think that sometimes
innocents have to die in order to defeat tyranny.
Now go ahead and tell me I don't get it. I don't mind at all.

Irrelevant to the election except that Bush carried the Florida Jewish vote
by supporting Sharon without question.

I can assure you that I don't live in fear, cowering in a corner. The
future may be better, but not necessarily. Bush policies on the
environment, international structures, national debt and abrogation of
treaties on WMDs is less than likely to make for a better future. In fact,
the pentagon realesased a study in which they told W. that global warming
and the resultant famines resulting in food wars would be the GREATEST
security threat to the US over the coming 100 years. But Bush won't sing on
to Kyoto and continues to let indusrty add to the problem.

I refuse to think that people who disgree
with me are stupid, or evil.

Some are. Some aren't. I would substitute the word ignorant for stupid.

I honestly try to see their point of view.

My thoughts too. I can't help but think of our founding Fathers (Mothers
too) and hwat they might have to say to W.

Now go ahead and tell me I don't get it. I don't mind at all.

I don't see any other reason for your attitude and desire to escape.

It's NOT just about Bush. It's about America. I have faith in our people to do
what's right.
Did you know that our military is one of the few on the planet to have not
attempted to take over the democratic government. That's because of what
Americans believe in. You have been going on about a theocracy, Bush fascism,
everything you are afraid of. You've called me a Pollyanna before. Yep! I'm a
stupid SOB who put his ass on the line on the Czech Border and with the 509th
Bomb Wing. My Wife is a 40% disabled vet due primarily to training injuries. I
LIKE Barry Sadler's album because it talks to, and about the people that went
there and did their best.
This is what really works for me:

Back at home a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her this last request:

last cho:
Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret.
We aren't always right, the politicians may abuse us, but you have to believe
in the vision that our Costitution provides.

Yeah Bush got a "majority" -- we can all look it up in the dictionary.
more than 50%. What does that mean? Did you go around talking about
how you yourself were out of touch with America majority since you
didn't (presumably) vote for Gore last time? Don't be a dumbass and
think because "your" side got 51% of the vote that's significant in
deciding about right and wrong. Lots of people like Britney Spear and
McDonald's and both are crap.

51% IS signficant in that Bush gets to stay in the Whitehouse, sure.

However, the bottom line still is that
Bush isn't perfect but he is better for America
than Kerry at this point in
time.

Danny, sad to say you're one of the dumbass 51% majority if you
actually believe that.

If you want to say you believe in Bush because he's against gay
marriage and for God, then fine. The first half of that is hateful
but at least that's honest. If you want to say you're against Kerry
because you have some belief that Kerry is a socialist or something,
OK, you're ignorant.

But if you actually believe that the country is better off
econimically or in terms of security with Kerry, you're a dupe. Sad
to say we know now that many American voters have proven to be duped
by the liars in the administration. Sad to say lying about the war
and lying about the economy work. Safer? What a joke. Economy, huge
problems down the pike. Massive deficit. Troops screwed. But what
does it matter if the president can just deny reality and dupe people.
Duping works. You've been duped.
