True, especially considering his having mono for most of the season. I'm
impressed with Mancebo, though. He's had a long and fairly good season, with
fourths in both the Tour and the Vuelta.

I was surprised that he went to Japan given the amount of racing he did this
year. The sushi must have been the attraction.

Lampre's won that race year since 2000, except last year when Stinky
broke their streak. A big win for Team Purple means more Lampre Steel
in the Engine Bloc of your Toyota, and Cunego wanted to be the one to
get it, just to show his dedicaton to leading the team, now that
Simoni's gone.

Plus, The Kid has a -bambino -of his own, now, so he might also be
wanting a few more Euros to toss around. For the college fund, and what
not.
