Hopefully that link will bring up the original post from October 21 when Andy told us Bob Jackson was going away. You lied to us Andy!!!!! I don't know if I would want to be on the financing side supporting this company. I think its time is over and the monetary investment will see a negative return.

Yes, I did post that or rather link to an item in my
overnight email.

No idea about business conditions in England today but the
work they turn out is very good. I send customers there for
repairs/resprays and they are cared for as well as we could
here.

I am not arguing or suggesting Bob Jackson does not do excellent work. I'm just arguing against investing money in their business for future profits. I don't think the small custom/unique bike maker can make enough money today to survive. Small custom bike frame makers can make it today. Barely. They can do OK but not well enough to get rich. They can't grow big enough and keep margins good enough to make it a really profitable business. So they remain one man custom makers. OK. Big huge bike makers like Trek, Specialized can use economies of scale and cheap foreign labor to produce enough revenue and contain costs to make the businesses work. But the medium or for Bob Jackson the small medium or just small bike business, NO. There is so much infrastructure, mandatory costs required to run a small manufacturer no matter if you sell 100 or 1000 or 10000 bikes. Its a fixed cost for operating no matter what. And their market is sort of the unloved medium area. Expensive bikes but not really super expensive. And not cheap mass market everyone has one bikes. So they are in the medium area where they are trying to get people who love bikes, riding, but are cheap and don't want to spend money too.
