Installing 3rd (granny) chain ring?
Shimano SG-X.
The chain ring looks a little asymmetrical (it's got a raised ridge running the circumference just under the teeth on one side). What's the correct way to install this chain ring? Ridge side in or out? Thanks. |

Ridge side in or out? Thanks. Probably in. Any stamping with the model or size usually faces out. Also check for countersink bores on the bolt holes. The bolt heads obviously nestle in those. |
