Cycling IS a healthy way to travel or is it?

I know someone who had a heart attack whilst sleeping, should we strive to stay awake? -- Paul - xxx '96/'97 Landrover Discovery 300 Tdi Dyna Tech Cro-Mo comp |

Was the guy a regular cyclist and had he had a heart examination recently? Also, it doesn't do to overdo exercise and cycling up hills is very difficult for someone who is not in a good condition. Generally, cycling is a very healthy way to travel though, if you ignore the considerable danger posed by drivers. Doug. |

Was the guy a regular cyclist and had he had a heart examination recently? He did cycle regularly - every day - though I think that this was at least because he had weight and cardio-vascular concerns. I don't know his full medical history. Also, it doesn't do to overdo exercise and cycling up hills is very difficult for someone who is not in a good condition. Generally, cycling is a very healthy way to travel though, if you ignore the considerable danger posed by drivers. "Poor health" and "injury" are two different things. |
