Default Anyone race all stages of Superweek?

I gather that there's a Points jersey or something. Is there a GC?

Does anyone race all the days or if you cherrypick and do well in a
half dozen is that good enough?

I think it's the TdF of the USA.

Every real racer in the US should do it if possible just to say they
did it. I never did it. Wish I had!

(You could warm up your season with that long Memorial Weekend in
Iowa. Do they still do that? Snake Alley and such.)

To race every day from July 12 to 26... Now THAT's being a real bike
bum! And there's a race every day for every Cat, right? So even a Cat
5 can get that Stage Racer feeling!

I did it once on a recumbent. Sporting a mustache.

Dumbass -

Minus the soigneurs, the mechanics, the fans, the groupies, the
helicopters, the race caravan, the media, the paycheck, etc.

Other than that, it's the same.

thanks,

Minus the soigneurs,
wives & girlfriends

the mechanics,

you can always borrow a wrench from someone's trunk

the fans,

wives & girlfriends

the groupies,

sometimes kids will yell at you to throw a water bottle to them

helicopters,

life flight after cat 5 race (wait, that actually happened ... no
disrespect intended)

the race caravan,

angry locals trying to get on the course

the media,

does Milwaukee Sentinel count?

the paycheck, etc.

you just have to wait around long enough and outlast everyone else

Uh, I didn't say Grand Tour.

How many stage races come with All The Works for all the riders?

Your lameness backfired, as always.

So, yes, other than the irrelevant-to-most-stage-racing things you
listed, doing all the races of Superweek would give any rider that
Fresh Stage Race Feeling.

The other things I mentioned all still stand. As relevant. In
contrast.

Superweek is not a stage race.

Thanks,

You're still ENTIRELY wrong.

Superweek doesn't have to be a GT or even a stage race for me to think
that it's the TdF of the USA. It might be the closest thing we have.
Duh.

Sure, we have some stage races, and some hillier ones at that, but
Superweek takes the cake in TdFness.

(PS: K-G Faker, you should leave RBR. It would thrive again. Before
you it was a good newsgroup. It's hard to imagine the misery of
someone who harms good, public, volunteer projects. You're just a
vandal. That's about as low as one can go, isn't it? I guess all one
can conclude is that it's a lot MORE misery than usual. Oh well! And,
no, DPC, even though I didn't forget anything, newsgroups do NOT need
posters to have any better memories than usual or anything in
particular other than netiquette. But maybe the public needs to admit
that voluntarism is dead and that functional, thriving newsgroups need
moderators, is all, at least on occasion.)
