Default Nice afternoon bimble

The scouts are doing a hike to a local campsite next week and I'm
intending to cycle camp, so I thought I would check the route out today.
Just a nice bimble through some lanes including one that has been gated
for 20 years and is undergoing succession , pint at the pub and some
chips with curry sauce, then a slow bimble back along NCR4. I had
foregotten how much more comfortable the B17 on the Dawes was compared
with the black and yellow knife edge on the Lemond glad the Black is
coming this week. Looking at the Galaxy outside the pub I have decided
it's time I gave the old girl some TLC so I'm thinking of stripping it
this winter and sending it off for a new chain stay and then a respray,
possibly in Metallic black and lemon to match the Lemond. at the same
time I might then convert it to bar end shifters and change the rear
wheel back to a solid axle , what are the thoughts on the group set to
go for?
