Cyclist gets £100k compo jackpot
QUOTE:
"A cyclist forced to quit his job after suffering serious injuries in a road accident has received a £100,000 payout - and is now set to marry the love of his life. Dad-of-four Heath Marshall, 48, was forced to quit mechanics after being hit by a motorbike in Lea Marston, Sutton Coldfield. He fractured his skull in the horror smash and also suffered serious leg injuries. But after the out-of-court settlement he now plans to marry sweetheart Marie Brant, 38, and move with their two children into a new home after spending the last three years in a caravan." http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news...after-10741164 |

That implies a prize, rather than compensation for lasting injuries. |

For the avoidance of doubt, is there anyone here who would choose to suffer the effects of the quoted injuries in exchange for a tax-free lump sum of £100,000? 1. Not me. 2. |

As motorcyclists are just 1% of traffic, but 20% of roadkill - it was a good job that he survived the crash at all. |

Wouldn't you? |
