Stay away from "Napa Valley Bike Tours"
The bottom line
1. We didn't get what we were told we would get. Therefore, we shouldn't have paid full price for what we didn't get, nor what we did get. If we didn't go through the package, we would have spent over $200 LESS than what we ended up spending (even after hounding the company for weeks to get the $400 refund). 2. the tour operator PROMISED to get us "some wine" in addition to the $400. Unfortunately, I didn't make him put it in writing, so it never happened. 3. We had a great time because we didn't let it spoil our vacation. Part of my post was to simply discuss the trip in general, not just to complain the whole time. 4. As for "too much wine to take a long scary 30 mile bike ride," it is irrelevant. We paid for a guided tour; we didn't get one. We can handle 30 miles. However, what if i was old and out of shape, having never taken a bike ride in my life, but relying on the word of the tour guide that the tour would be guided? 5.If you're not convinced, instead of shopping around and taking my review into consideration, go ahead and book it. |
