Dog walker arrested for assaulting cyclist on disused railway line

At around 10.30pm on Friday (June 26) a man in his 40s was cycling along the line near to Cromwell Lane in Burton Green. He went past a man walking his dog, who challenged him and a verbal dispute followed. The cyclist was then pushed off his bike and assaulted. He suffered multiple broken bones and was taken to hospital where he still remains. A 48-year-old man from Kenilworth has been arrested on suspicion of assault grievous bodily harm. He is currently in police custody.
