Car shunted into barriers after Preston Road red light jumper causes'serious crash'

This is the shocking moment a driver in Preston Road hit another motorist while speeding through red traffic lights.

The video above shows the dash cam view from the front and back of a car, as a black BMW overtakes and speeds past before causing a potentially serious crash.

It happened on June 8 at 3.42pm and was uploaded on to the Hull Road Share Facebook page this week.

In the clip, instead of stopping at the lights, the BMW increases speed despite oncoming traffic turning to the driver's right hand side.

Next, the driver of the BMW smashes straight in to what appears to be a red Ford Focus that was legally and safely turning to its left.

The crash brings both cars to a halt, with the red car being then shunted into barriers near the next set of traffic lights.

It is unknown if either driver was injured or what the extent of the damage was.

Hull Road Share posted on social media to say the owner of the red car has a copy of this clip and is in touch with police.
