Buckets are the new Milk Crate

You can lord it on the mound any sunny day in the summer. Another error. Not the mound but the 'hill' - preferably exposed to the full sunshine for most of the day to ensure both excessive sunburn and to maintain a thirst that cannot be quenched. Andre Jute Proud to be Australian (even if only recently arrived) (1) An esky is a cooler in which an Australian takes his beer to the watch the cricket. The mound is a berm on which he sits and casts disparaging remarks at the toffs eating lobster and strawberries in champagne in the member's enclosure. A tinnie is a can of beer. The social standing of an Australian is closely related to the the tinnie- rating of his esky. Not many people know that -- sorry, Michael, only 14 million Australians (2). Regretably, 'progress' has intervened to spoil the fun somewhat. When cans were made of good old Aussie steel they could be thrown empty at an opposing supporter or perhaps an umpire. When they moved to aluminium (not aluminum, please) it was necessary to leave some beer in the can in order to retain some mass. An empty aluminium can caused no damage and could not be thrown far enough to injure somebody sufficiently. All cans are now banned and spectators must drink from plastic cups. Simply appalling and an unreasonable restraint on Aussie culture. regards, 20cents PS. Just this last weekend a motor race was held at Mount Panorama, New South Wales. In order to maintain the peace the authorities imposed a limit of one slab of beer per adult per day. Now that's what is known as responsible consumption of alcohol around here. |

Buckets are the new Milk Crate
If anybody lives near Syosset, NY and can use some clean kitty litter
buckets, I've got lots of extras in my garage. All you need to do is pick them up! |
