I have an older Cannondale Mountainbike (late 80s?).
It has the Dia Compe AD 990 brakes.

What's a good source for older stuff?

Your LBS. The Dia Compe 990 u-brake is still in production, and is
available through more than a dozen distributors in the US (as are most
spares).
