Stupid tanden riders

While waiting at the bus stop after getting of the train tonight, a pair of idiots on a tandem decided to ride through the queue a t the bus stop.
There is a shared use path up to where the station car park starts which starts again at the other entrance to the car park, there is plenty of room to cycle behind the bus stop in the part of the car park that is not used by cars.

What sort of idiot would think it a good idea to cycle through a crowd of people waiting for a bus when there is a clear route that takes them clear of the people with no danger to themselves.

If you want to know why pedestrians hate cyclists, then this is one reason.

If you want to know why bullies prosper, then this is one reason.
A crowd, unless they were being excessively polite, need not make way for two idiots on a small amount of metal. A couple of idiots in a car would be a different case.

Clare and I were out on the Tandem tonight - well, I went to meet her at the new swimming pool in Lewisham where a cyclist was killed by a car driver last week.

A driver in an eight person people carrier yelled at me as I rode solo to the swimming pool, "You've lost someone". I, with my ceaseless wit, yelled back, "You've lost seven".

But this doesn't make me hate motorists.

unstable, unsafe, and useless vehicle - or you can use public transport, walk,
use a car or get a taxi.
