That was a great ride indeed. I can't wait to see some of those bail
pctures. We also forgot to do an "after" photo, even though it wasn't
that dramatic.

What a good ride. Fast downhills and nice uphills and all in beautiful
woods and sunny weather.

There was some unbelievable uphill riding going on too, I couldn't
believe Bevan got all the way up that really steep uphill.

Great job organizing an international ride, Joe. It's nice that you got
a good turnout. It was interesting watching it develop.

Three cheers for Joe! It was a real treat to have an international
rider (when I said "foreigner" it was a term of endearment ) come to
our neighborhood and bring us all together for a fun day of riding. I
also felt honored to be with Daytripper63 on his first group ride...
there's always a good time when two or more uni riders are together on
the same trail.

I fill in the blanks of this sentance every time I ride with Bevan:

- I couldn't believe Bevan got across that rail
- I couldn't believe Bevan got on that wall
- I couldn't believe Bevan got down those stairs
- etc.

However, seeing is believing, and Bevan will tell you that you've got
the power to ride the same lines as he does, with enough practice

I got a nice little video clip of Bevan doing a rolling hop onto--and
over--one of those big yellow trail gates. A sweet move! I'll try to
get that stuff posted in a reasonable amount of time.

BTW, the photo above from Joe shows Bevan riding some steep uphill (and
me getting ready to try to complete it), but the one he blew me away on
was a different hill that was large and *really* steep, which he did on
the first try!

One of the best moments came just before the ride, where Corbin noticed
a unicyclist not affiliated with our group, out riding a Qu-Ax in one
of the redwood areas. Turns out he's a bicyclist who we've run into a
couple of times in the park, and seeing us inspired him to get a
unicycle--now he's out riding the trails!

It's always fun showing new people our trails, and Joaquin Miller is
pretty and has a great mix of terrain and stuff to play on. It was a
beautiful day for mid-November, mostly sunny and 70 (21 for the more
rational among us), and it was great to get out before the weather
turns to crap. Thanks to Joe and Eric for giving us an excuse to get a
ride organized; it was a blast!

Yeah, I never did make it up that hill. It must've been because I
wasn't motivated since nobody said it'd never been done before...

I wonder if the camera will show the tire marks from the two previous,
failed tries in that rail...
