Shimano Cassettes
Sheldon has a nice page about Shimano cassettes
(http://www.sheldonbrown.com/k7.html#8cassettes). however, none of my local bikeshops seems to be able to understand when I tell them I want an 'an' cassette.. Are there any sites where I can work out the product codes for these cassettes? Mathias |

Tell your LBS that. |

Tell your LBS that. I agree. If they're exceptionally stupid and in the U.S., you can tell them to order Quality Bicycle Products part number FW8564: http://harriscyclery.net/site/page.c...=49&SKU=FW8564 Very few parts catalogs will distinguish between cassettes by the Shimano "series". They'll always list the tooth counts, though. Jeff |

Yes, and if you wait a few more days, Sheldon will have a special on
nanogears, or was it micro-gears... Josh "Sheldon Brown" wrote in message ... You could order one from me, we keep all sizes in stock most of the time... http://harriscyclery.com/8 I could but want to try and avoid international shipping (to Singapore) at this time. If I can't get it here I may relent though... |

Mathias In the 'Stock Cassette' pul-down menu of Sheldon Brown's gear calculator, there are letter codes listed for some of the gearings. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/gears/ |
