Not as much as many, more than some ... but 1,000 trail miles in a
year is a lot for me. I am happy:

Congrats, remember the year isn't over yet. I track my miles on
MapMyRun.com it even tells me how many calories I've burned (about a
1/4 million so far this year). Keeps track of a variety of workouts
and exercises.

True. Last Thursday (the night of the group ride 'round here) it was
26F. I've biked in temps as low as 16F, but last week was so blustery
and nasty that it was probably the worst weather I've ever trail-biked
in. I don't think I would have gone if I hadn't been 8 miles short of
this milestone. If the weather improves just a little, or if I travel
to Maryland next month[1] and get a little lucky with the weather, I
might get as many as 1200 for the year.

[1] So, where does one go biking in MD? If I go, I'll be staying
for about three weeks in Annapolis. I know about Schaeffer Farms,
have biked there many times. Are there other decent trails in the
area?

Nice. The Polar HRM software sez I've burned 115,500 this year so far
just mountain biking. My biggest week was 7,820 -- last week (just
that one ride) was 1,244.
