I had never seen nor heard of brake-lever thumb-extensions before.

Campy's Ergopower manuals have a bizarre disclaimer against braking
from the hoods, saying that you can't generate enough braking force
unless you're in the drops. I wonder what Campy's lawyers would say
about brake-lever thumb-extensions.
