McCoy (Jute) and the (putative) forgeries

My bet is that he wasn't getting the attention/sympathy he felt he
deserved, so he did the forgeries himself trying to get that
sympathy/attention. I suppose one could run a style/text analysis on the
stuff that is claimed to be forged and on the stuff that is claimed not to
be forged, but hell, it's all equally whacko anyway, why bother?
