New to Fort Lauderdale Florida

Our weather has finally turned cooler and beautiful...anyone know of good places to ride in South Florida...particularly Broward County? The suggestion noted about contacting a local bike club is a good idea. So I am going to contact http://www.southbrowardwheelers.com/ but if anyone has particularly good ways to get around in Ft. Lauderdale...particularly the New River area northward...I'd love to know any local secrets. Always having to put my bike in the truck and drive it places to ride is OK, but it would be nice to ride out of the garage and GO!
