Default Children being recruited early by the car culture.

Not content with driving them everywhere in their cars, parents are
now enrolling their young kids in driving lessons, as reported on BBC
TV news this morning, thus ensuring the continuing proliferation of
the dominant car culture and the motorist's mindset.

Giving their children driving lessons whatever next, when will this
quest for safety end?

But it proves yet again that Doug does not care about having safe
roads, so no change there.

How can cramming more and more people into cars ever be considered
'safe'?

Which will enable them to pass a compulsory theory & practical examination
of their competence to drive. This gives them a license which can be
endorsed or retracted if they break the law.

We should immediately bring in a similar test for irresponsible cyclists.

No we shouldn't. It's enshrined in the Magna Carta that cyclists have
carte-blanche to break all the rules of the road - and some cyclists seem to
regard it as a challenge see how many they can break in the shortest time!

Out of interest, what did cyclists find to moan about before bicycles
were invented?

Not having bicycles, presumably.
