Default Cognitive Dissonance...

One of the more amusing aspects of the ideological war on cycling in
Britain, is the double standards operated by the apologists for the
automobile and petrochemical industries. For example..

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/mayor/sadiq-khan-calls-on-all-boroughs-to-make-world-car-free-day-a-huge-success-in-london-a3891626.html

So, let's trot out the claims that cycling 'causes pollution' - a claim
repeated thousands of times in comments streams on hundreds of articles in
the UK press. Not a shred of evidence that cyclists 'cause pollution', but
that's of little or no importance.

Now let's look at the scientific evidence that the internal combustion
engine is responsible for over 10,000 premature deaths in the UK every
year. 'No credible evidence!' scream the retards.

Hilarious.
