I find it odd that the NSW laws allow a driver to cross a centre line,
including a double white line, to pass a bicycle rider.

Usually, crossing such lines is a complete no-no, on the presumed ground
that it is dangerous.

Yet suddenly it is felt that some discretion can be given to drivers
when it comes to passing bicycles.


I've often wondered about that too.
