Good thing about retsina is that is stores well in the refrigerator.
I had a couple glasses out of a bottle once, then chucked
it into the refrigerator. One hot afternoon a few weeks later
I sat around sipping from it; and it was perfect.

Retsina is a Greek wine. It is so bad that it can't get worse. But if you
don't compare it to a good white wine by drinking it the same day Retsina is
OK.

I bought a bottle of Ouzo for my father 30 years ago. Me and my brother
finished the pint bottle last year.

That ought to tell you how good Ouzo is.

You just can't stop yourself can you ? It's better to be silent and be
thought a fool that to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I hear that you never met your father. Neither did your mother.

My apologies William. But you do get tiresome. You seem incapable of adding
to a conversation aside from throwing knives.

Just healthy, nourishing wine for me,

Hell, at least we Americans know that the REAL(tm) health food is BEER.
Although the label says 280 calories half of that is alcohol which a person
doesn't absorb. It gets ****ed away making beer less fattening than most
other drinks.

Oh! Look! Here is a first. You are incorrect.

Do I deterct a wee bit of sarcasm?

I did not think anyone would notice.

As it happens, I enjoy ouzo and its brother arak.
It is the same stuff as Pernod, actually.
Pour it into water, and sip.

That would be a wonderful pairing with andouillette.

Especially if it masks the andouillette taste.

You, too? You know, I don't think I've ever had ouzo, I'm going to try
it the next time I'm in a bar and get back to you on it.

They are not complimentary. I would never clean with
andouillette.
