French Alps episode #2: Col de Sarenne - The B side of Alpe d'Huez
Last week, I posted an episode on Cycling Alpe d'Huez (
http://www.steephill.tv/2006/alpe-d-huez/ ). This week's episode is a photo and video tour of the backside ascent of Alpe d'Huez. It's less famous but more scenic and quiet: http://www.steephill.tv/2006/col-de-sarenne/ enjoy, Steve www.steephill.tv bike travelogue |

We did it after going up l'Alpe-d'Huez, then crossed the Sarenne and descended to Mizoen and le Freney-d'Oisans, and then climbed up to the D211a, which was a bear of a climb. The ride along the cliff was stunning. Nice pictures! |
