Individual Campy 9-Speed Cogs?
I am wondering if anyone knows of a source for new, Campy 9-speed
cassette cogs? The ones in the middle of my steel cassette need to be replaced. Thanks |

Thanks Yes, if you need Campy cassettes, check out any LBS that does business with QBP, you'll want to Veloce "loose cogs." AE Bike list the following: http://aebike.com/page.cfm?pageid=30...id=3731&type=T Alternatively, you could also look at Miche loose cogs: http://aebike.com/page.cfm?pageid=30...d =572&type=T Note, I've had both and find Miche to be only "OK." Further, don't know if mixing miche with campy would work. Good Luck! |

And remember that these Veloce cogs won't work with Centaur or higher parts. Making these components lighter by building them into single pieces does have its downside. |

I have checked around with a few shops, like AEBike who offer the QBP catalog online. Seems the selection of single cogs is slim and does not include the sizes I was hoping to find. Drat! |

Drat! Unless you "get lucky" on ebay and find someone selling loose cogs cheap, you might easily wind up paying more for a few cogs than a whole new cassette. Plus, any of the other cogs might be worn to the point that (for instance) you put a new chain on and another cog starts slipping. Ebay might be a source for NOS 9sp cassettes. Awhile back there were a couple of British online sellers offering cheap Campy 9sp. cassettes. FWIW I've used Record with at least a few Ti cogs and, compared to Veloce all steel, couldn't seem to feel any difference in shifting. -- D-y |

Veloce cogs won't 'work' with Centaur and higher shifters and derailleurs? Why not and how come we have sold dozens and dozens of Veloce cogsets with everything from Centaur thru Record 'parts' w/o problem? |

My MEANING was that Veloce cogs won't mix with the Centaur and higher cogs which are put together in groups while the Veloce cogs are single pieces. That has nothing at all to do with the cogs working with the shifters. |
