Beginner biker needs advice
"The best kind of bicycle" is like the best kind of shoes. The best ride
is the one that best fits the rider. Not just your anatomy, but your style of riding, the places you wish to ride, etc.etc.etc. The best bet is to "sit down" with someone who knows the sport and the areas you wish to ride and discuss your wants and needs. - - "May you have the wind at your back. And a really low gear for the hills!" Chris Zacho ~ "Your Friendly Neighborhood Wheelman" Chris'Z Corner http://www.geocities.com/czcorner -- rec.bicycles.off-road is moderated by volunteers.
