Default fall riding

there is nothing quite as satisfying as a 20mph headwind up a steep hill in
the rain commute-but i cant wait to go home! just nine more months til the
wind shifts...

I'm a bigger fan of slipping on wet leaves on a wooden bridge. :P

Suffering makes the beer taste better at the end of the ride.

we were about to exchange greetings at
the stop by the freemont bridge but there were some people up ON the
billboard yelling "hey bikers! bikers! hey! woo-hoo!" and they invited us

up
there for a beer.

Fremont. Why am I not surprised. Were they dressed fully in purple, wearing
tie-dye, tagging anti-something messages, or passing out Moonie, Socialist
party, Green Peace, or New Age propoganda as well??

Personally, if I was going to conspicuously consume in those parts, I'd go
hang out at the Fremont troll. But each to their own...

no offense, but you obviously haven't been to fremont in a while. it's fully

I'm having trouble believing your story. Uglier than the EMP?

Is that possible?

The world really isn't any worse. It's just that the news coverage
is so much better.

LOL yes! check out the new building right on the northwest corner of fremont
ave and (what's that street that parallels the ship canal?). at least emp is
unique (and quite stunning close up on the sea ctr side at sunset). the
facade on this building in fremont is like some sort of neo yuppie modern
curlicue idea stratght from trading spaces!
there used to be some cool neighborhood bars around there but now you've got
to go up to phinney or ballard.
