are so many kids, families, and generally clueless people who do not
regularly use these paths. Yes they are a pain, but just accept tha
this
is where they congregate, especially on Sundays, and especially whe
the
weather is good. So choose another path, along the freeway is alway

and clueless cyclists. Took the new OCR zero out for a social path rid
on Sat.
When the group stopped to wait, half didn't consider getting off th
path.
And happily staying 2 abreast on an uphill blind section throug
tunnels, scary

I've thought about doing that a few times, but the Council is just a
likely to view it as vandalism and get stroppy - I'd like the Counci
to do it only because then it is all official etc

I think the best I have seen was a father and small son with smal
son's bike upended having adjustments to wheels/tyres in the middle o
a bike path in Perth. (I stopped and, after enquiring whether help wa
required, suggested that they were at risk of being hit by some faste
cyclists and that the middle of the path was not the safest place t
stop for repairs. I left them with the father looking stunned an
confused.

Sounds like a few stretches of St Kilda Beach (DRS? Stokehouse to
Marina?).

Yes, parts of the path are shared and parts are split with separate
pedestrian and bike paths, but the council(s) won't put up proper signs,
relying instead on the white stencils. The problem is your average tourist
can't see them because they've got their heads up their arses.

Q: What is the most annoying thing on Usenet?
