Default Is MUni in the North Shore (Vancouver) right now good?

I'm wondering over to Seattle and then down to LA, and have thrown the
idea around to drive up to Vancouver first and try some of the north
shore trails I've heard so much about. But I have no idea what the
weather is like there and if MUni is even possible or if there is snow
or if it's too muddy? If someone could please fill me in that'd be
great! Thanks in advance. I really really want to ride the trails up
there someday soon...

Hey Jamey,

It's been a month or two since we've been up on "the north shore", the
snow line kind of changes day to day, definately most of the upper
trails still have snow on them. We tried to go 2-3 weeks ago but the
snow line was no good so we went for an XC ride down by the water.

If you can make it here on a weekend we normally ride on Sundays. (You
can find our mailing list from www.vanuni.com)

Here's the message board for north shore trail conditions:

http://bb.nsmb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7

based on this thread it sounds like some of the lower trials are snow
free now:

Be sure to drop us a line if your in Vancouver.

Cheers,
- James

So is it worth me driving up there from Seattle just to go on a couple
rides? It would be in about 1-2 weeks from now...

It's hard to judge what you'd deem worth it, almost as hard as guessing
what the weather will be like around here (ie. where the snow line will
be) ...

If you're looking to do a bit of sight-seeing and don't mind the 3-4
hour drive from Seattle we can do our best to organize a ride for you,
hopefully on the North Shore if the weather permits, and if not maybe
something around the sights in town. (Most of us work weekdays so
weekends are the best)

Hopefully see you sometime,
- James

PS. On the off chance you don't want to meet up with anyone but are
interested in checking things out this is a good site for trail

I can definitely recommend just riding around Vancouver. It's a
beautiful and unique city.

So I'm thinking of possibly coming up there this weekend on Saturday
morning and going for a ride Sat afternoon, Sunday and/or Monday but
would need a place to crash for a night or two. Anyone from the
Vancouver area that would be willing to host me this Sat, Sunday and/or
Monday? Please let me know ASAP, otherwise I don't think I'll make the
trip up there. Thanks much.
