Ooofff ... that could hurt, depending on what part of the anatomy
contacts the bike when the chain lets go and pedal resistance suddenly
drops to nearly nil.

This is why it's prudent to sport a top-tube pad ... style points are
just a plus (or in the case of pro teams, yet another surface on which
sponsors can flog their wares):
