Your biggest cost will be either brake /shifters or brake levers and bar end
shifters. The latter is cheaper and will not require a road indexed front der. Be prepared to use levers and brakes that agree on cable pull spec. The rest is easy. Hello, I am thinking about converting a Schwinn Crossfit to drops and make it more of a touring bike as a winter tinkering project. Has anyonew done this or is there an online resources that talk about doing this? Thanks, Dave in Minnesota |

The bike has canti brakes but I don't like them, not the fact that they are can't but I think they are cheaply made. I am either going to go with better cantis or linear. I will make that decision later. Dave in Minnesota |
