1960s & 1970s bike catalogs
A Japanese site with lots of scans of Japanese bike catalogs from the
1960s and 1970s for Shimano, Mafac, TA, Wolber, Simplex, Campagnolo, and so on: http://209.85.135.104/translate_c?hl...language_tools or http://tinyurl.com/46phrh The computerized translation is well-nigh incomprehensible ("bag of dog" seems to mean "touring bag" and "cars" seems to mean "bicycles"), but the catalogs themselves may interest posters with bikes from that era. Cheers, Carl Fogel |

Cheers, Carl Fogel That's quite a find, Carl -- much better than the 1889 patents. I lusted after that '74 De Rosa, and I owned the '76 Dura Ace. Many fond memories, and the Japanese bikes of the era -- like the Nagasawa -- look pretty nice. I wonder if any of those were imported in to the US. -- Jay Beattie. |
