50th Anniversary Schwinn Paramount

It isn't very often that you see one of these Schwinn Paramount, Waterford-built 50th Anniversary framesets available for purchase. Most of them have been bought up by collectors or speculators, but now you have a
chance to have one of your very own!

This frame measures 57cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seattube and has a 55.5cm top tube. It is made of Columbus SLX steel tubing, which was the top of the line choice when this frame was built in
1989 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Paramount line.

The frame is painted a metallic black with gold anniversary decals and a gold-plated front fork. It has two sets of water bottle bosses and the rear brake cable is routed on the top tube. It takes an English threaded bottom bracket and clamp-on front derailleur, and comes with the original Stronglight Paramount headset already installed.

This Paramount has been built up, but was never ridden. It was kept on display in a bike shop due to its historical significance, and over the years has incurred some shop wear. There are some scratches and chips that have been touched up on the frame, and the fork has a couple of scratches and very tiny places where the clearcoat is chipped, but this is an exceptionally nice frame and fork that looks stunning and has a reputation as a wonderful ride.

While this frame and fork could be bought just to store away as a possible investment, this Paramount is just begging for someone to build it up and give it its maiden voyage!

The frame and fork are made in Italy of Columbus steel tubing with the Columbus tubing decal on the frame reading "Columbus Tubi Speciali Rinforzati Acciaio CrMo Super '91 Colnago".
