If shimano paid me the 6 figure income to ride their stuff, I would too(naww,
no I wouldn't)

He gets paid $100,000+ to use shimano-not the team, him.

No argument, although I haven't verified your figure. But if he WANTED
to ride Campy, he could certainly arrange for a switch in sponsorship,
no? Campagnolo would probably pay pretty close to the same figure if
Lance asked them to. Hell, Lance could probably buy six dozen complete
Record gruppos for the whole team and not even have a component sponsor
if he didn't like Shimano.
