Children are fighting back!
Probably tired of having their lives put at risk by dangerous drivers.
"Stone-throwing Shrewsbury children shatter car window A driver had a "lucky escape" after her windscreen was shattered by children who threw a rock at her car. The motorist was driving along Robertson Way in Shrewsbury at 1235 BST on Thursday when she spotted three children hiding in bushes. Moments later she spotted one throwing a stone at her car, which shattered the windscreen, say West Mercia Police. The driver was able to stop safely. A force spokesman said: "This was an extremely foolish and dangerous act." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/s...e/10237321.stm -- UK Radical Campaigns. http://www.zing.icom43.net A driving licence is a licence to kill. |

Actually, I find your comment thouroughly objectionalble and in extremely poor taste. I had a friend who was killed becuase some yobbo youth lobbed a brick through his windscreen for no reason as he drove down the road. Why do you think that this behaviour is somehow justified for some totally speculative (and I am pretty certain incorrect) reason. Oh, and what has this got to do with cycling? Why the unnecessary cross-post? |

Why do you think that this behaviour is somehow justified for some totally speculative (and I am pretty certain incorrect) reason. Doug has put himself in danger and been injured in the past so he now has a hatred for cars and their drivers. However, this has only come about since he was told to stop driving for medical reasons. Oh, and what has this got to do with cycling? Why the unnecessary cross-post? Because, according to Doug, uk.rec.cycling is infested with motorists. |

... Probably tired of having their lives put at risk by dangerous drivers. "Stone-throwing Shrewsbury children shatter car window Doug is back promoting violence and dangerous acts towards the motorist. Because some people decide to walk in front of cars and then wonder why they get hit by the moving vehicles, other people think its a good idea to attempt to murder the drivers. Doug, why is it OK for people to throw stones and potentially kill drivers? You need to explain to us why you are now in favour of murder - you said it was a bad thing when it was the other way round. The driver was able to stop safely. A force spokesman said: "This was an extremely foolish and dangerous act." Ah, so even though her car was damaged and defective, she was still able to stop safely - what'dya know!! |

Don't take his one-man-band against the car attitude to heart. Try to ignore him. He will get run over soon enough. Several people have tried to drive into and destroy his house, but they have missed. He just posts the news reports in here as a pro-cycling story! This usually sparks massive, heated debates which degrade into insults. This one will too. Lets spark a quick poll - Does anyone in this driving group (to which Doug has cross posted again) like Doug? Is he ever 'right'? |

Do you condone such dangerous & murderous actions? Even if the driver had been speeding it would not be justified, but there was no mention of speeding except bu a stupid idiot, YOU. I have been on the wrong end of such an incident (road cone not a stone) & lost control of my vehicle. If this driver had lost control & hit another road user, you would be bleating about dangerous driving. -- Tony Dragon |

What is the difference between hurling stones at people in cars and doing the same to people on bicycles, Doug? Can you not see that this case is analagous to stretching wire across a carriageway to catch and injure a cyclist? --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- |
