Default mini hair dryer to take while touring?

My wife insists on carrying a mini hair dryer to take while touring. In
the past she used a Windmere 400 watt 2-speed which folded into
virtually nothing. It's busted, can't get same..looking for
suggestions. Everything I see on the market is 1100 watts and up, and,
while represented as palm sized or micro-folding/travel, much bigger.

Go to any good luggage shop; they will have what you want.

I'm with your wife! My husband and I did a 9-day self-supported tour
this fall, and if I hadn't had a small hair dryer with me, I'd have
been schlepping around with wet hair after riding for the day (then
showering, of course!), looking for dinner spots. As it was rather
chilly in upstate NY, that wouldn't have been good. The Mom and Pop
type motels we stayed in did NOT have hair dryers. Not a one of them
did. So, go easy on your wife! We gals tend to have more hair then
men, and as a result, it dries a lot slower.

I have a huge dryer at home but picked up a small one for the tour.
Not sure if it's small enough to meet your specifications, but mine is
a little Vidal Sasoon model VS513 (1600 watts) purchased at Wal-mart.
My hair would take an hour to dry with a 400 watt dryer!
Good luck ~ Emily
